As announced Bokbasen is working on launching changes to its Audio distribution in 2017. The key changes are:
- Removal of 128kps format
- Conversion of all 48kps to 64kpbs
- Different types for secure inn-app usage and web-site downloads
Solution The solution will be ready for testing over the summer, dates will be announced later. There will then be a parallell run phase for the remainder of the year allowing you you to migrate you your integrations.
Integration implications DDS
The change changes in the integration is are minimal, and from an API perspective the only difference is in the GET CONTENT end-point. There you will get some additional "type" attributes, one for each of the new formatsformat. The current ones will not change, but will be removed when support f or for 48/128 is phased out at end of year.

HLS will also be migrated to 64 kps, and will no longer be backed by Wowza streaming engine. Instead HLS will be available through a global Content Delivery Network (CloudFront), testing . Testing so far shows that this is giving us considerable lower latency than the current solution. HLS HLS links for testing will be made available early (Q2), so that you can test the new links in your players.
